Metalworking Coolant Cleaning
Increasing costs of acquisition and disposal of metalworking coolants, together with the need to improve product quality and extend tool life, is prompting the industry to set up procedures for recycling spent materials. A system of hydrocyclones, used in combination with filters, centrifuges, and/or sumps, can provide an effective, economical means of cleaning both large and small volumes of coolants. Coolant can be removed from the work area for cleaning and returned or cleaned on a continuous, closed loop system. This improves cleaning efficiency and cuts down on coolant loss due to evaporation and spillage.
