Use KS DeSanders for well water desanding. When water is pumped from wells there can be a good deal of sand and clays that migrate out with the water into the well bore. This undesireable grit is removed from the water stream at the source using a Krebs DeSander. Installations have also been made at individual user sites where the municipal water supply is not desanded.

The unit will remove 98% of the particles, 150 mesh and greater, from water assuming particles have a specific gravity greater than 2.65 and the unit is operating at at least 5 psig pressure drop.

Use SDM models for municipal water treatment. Krebs hydrocyclones are used extensively in sewage treatment plants to remove grit, sand, and other inorganic solids from the primary clarifier or grit chamber underflow. Separators are more efficient and cost less than gravity sedimentation systems. Debris such as pencils, bottle caps, and other debris found in the raw sewage causes abrasive wear on process equipment and it can damage the operation of the digester. Deposited inorganic material causes loss of digester capacity and will eventually result in a complete plant shutdown for cleaning and renovation.
