 Mining
The use of Krebs Cyclones® to close a grinding mill began in the early 1950’s. The Krebs "D" Series Cyclones quickly became the standard. Over the years numerous improvements have been made to this line of hydrocyclones, including the Krebs Super Cyclones in the late 1980’s and extending to the gMAX® Cyclones by the year 2000. As milling circuits have grown in size and tonnage, the Super Cyclones were developed as the first cyclone design capable of meeting the difficult service required. The gMAX® Cyclones then were introduced to give finer, sharper separations at higher unit capacities, allowing fewer cyclones to be needed for optimal performance. The gMAX2 line is the newest improvement, incorporating additional benefits for even better separations while further reducing maintenance costs.
